Sue DiNapoli was a resident of El Paso County since 1979. Her life was filled with family, friends, volunteer work and fun. She had a contagious laugh and a remarkable spirit. Her upbeat attitude and determination helped her battle ovarian cancer for over 5 1/2 years. Her battle with ovarian cancer ended on August 5th, 2005. Help us as we raise awareness of this cancer. All proceeds will benefit the Sue DiNapoli Ovarian Cancer Foundation, helping low income and under insured women in the Pikes Peak area with screening and early detection of this deadly disease.

The 10th Anniversary Alex Hoag Run for Sunshine has a New Course with a Chip Timed 5K Run, a 5K Fun Walk & Children’s Sunshine Run with Sox the Fox. The event takes place at Security Service Field (formerly Sky Sox Stadium) at 7:00AM. Both the run and the walk finish inside the stadium at the 3rd base dugout. Immediately following the race is the Children’s Sunshine Run where the kids run around the warning track of the stadium with Sox the Fox. A pancake breakfast is served by the Colorado Springs Firefighters for a $5.00 donation. Run with D-Rock from Magic 98.9FM!
