    It's April and it is time to lace up your Brooks Beast and hit the races. Colorado Race Timing has four events to tell you about, the Heritage Adventure 5K/10K will take place on Saturday in Highlands Ranch, a great single track race. The Operation United 5K is a new race out at Central Park in Stapleton. The Miles for Hope 5K is back for another 5K at Sloan's Lake as well as the Aveda Earth Day 5K at Denver's Washington Park.

    Tear up those brackets, it's March Madness time and we saw #2 Georgetown lose to #15 Florida Gulf Coast and #9 Wichita State defeat the #1 Gonzaga Bull Dogs. We also witnessed Team USA defeating Team Costa Rica in a snowy futbol match played at Dick's Sporting Good Park. It is the fourth weekend of March, 2013, a weekend hit by a blizzard, making for some tough racing conditions for local racers.

    Why go with a 232 when a 230 is lighter? Here’s why!

    My first idea of this shoe was that it was going to be exactly like the ƒ-lite 230’s…just 2 grams heavier, and who wants to haul around that extra 2 grams!? Not my skinny ass!

    When I received the ƒ-lite 232, I was pleasantly surprised at a number of tweaks and changes made compared to the traditional ƒ-lite models.

    Fresh off the newswire, Kenyan marathoner Jynocel Basweti was suspended by that country's athletics governing body for a failed drug test. Basweti won the 2008 Denver Marathon as a 22-year-old in 2:22:16. A year later he finished second, 53 seconds behind race winner Chris Siemers. Although the article says "Basweti’s 26.2-mile low is 2:26 and last year she won races in Germany and Finland," Basweti is in fact a man. Just not as fast as you'd expect a male doper to be.
