Jason Hartmann led the charge for the Americans and Coloradans with his second consecutive fourth place Boston Marathon finish, in 2:12:12. Forty two year old Romanian Nuta Olaru who now calls Longmont home, was the first Colorado female with a 2:42:57, good enough for 23rd place overall for the women.

To crack the top 25 times from Colorado, the men had to break 2:49:10. Looking at last year's Denver Marathon, 25th place was 2:58:56. On the women's side, 25 Colorado women ran under 3:17:53, 25th at last year's Denver Marathon was a 3:32:38. The Colorado competition is tougher in Boston than in Denver.
