    No one trains harder than Boulder's Tyler McCandless. The 25-year-old had big goals for the 2012 Olympic trials marathon and while 50th in the country's most competitive race, shares his disappointment over his 2:19 finish. McCandless remains optimistic for the future and, taking an old school racing attitude, already has his next marathon planned. He shares those thoughts in this video interview.

    Olympic trials weekend continued Sunday with the running of the Houston Marathon. Benita Willis ran an even-paced 2:28 to finish second and well below the 2:32 Australian standard for the 2012 Olympics.

    Colorado's top finisher at the 2012 Olympic trials marathon, Boulder's Fernando Cabada ran 2:11:53 for seventh. Cabada is a seven-time national collegiate champion, three-time U.S. champion, and is the current American record-holder for 25K.     We've teamed up again with Boulder Running Company - DTC to bring you another prediction contest. This weekend is obviously a big weekend for many of Colorado's best so we've picked Chris Siemers, a Mile High Track Club runner, as our subject for this contest! $50 to BRC-DTC is up for grabs!

    Chris has had a great year and is expected to do well in Houston as well. He finished 1st at the 2010 Mount Washington Road Race with a time of 1:00:22, winning by over a minute against some stiff competition. More recently and more impressively, he qualified for the trials by running a 2:18:48 at Rock n Roll Denver. No one has run that fast at altitude since the Colorado record of 2:18:06 was run at the downhill Rawhide Marathon in 1984. You can read up on his training before Denver here. ...
