    Highlands Ranch cross country and track star Eleanor Fulton is one of the top female prep runners to have ever come out of Colorado. This past spring she won the 3200M, 1600M and the 800M at the 5A Colorado state track meet. She was an eight time track state champion and placed third at the Colorado state cross country meet in 2010.

    In June she raced the adidas Dream Mile in New York against the top prep runners in the country and finished 2nd overall, running 4:42.90. Check out this amazing video, Eleanor's last lap is incredible.

    Eleanor is now attending the University of Washington where she will run track and cross country for the Huskies.

    During her high school career at Crested Butte, Emma Coburn set schools records in every event from the 400m to the 3200m, before taking her talents to the University of Colorado. In June, Emma won her first NCAA 3000m steeplechase title at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She then went on to win the USATF steeplechase title, giving her a spot to race on the World Championship team.

    Emma has spent her summer racing in Europe and ran a 4:12.97 (1500m) in Belgium on July 31st, recording the fourth-fastest time ever on the CU all-time performers chart. On August 6th, she set a new PR in the steeple, running 9:37.16 in London. Emma has had one hell of a summer and she plans to cap things off by racing in the 3000m steeplechase at the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea at the end of August.

    Bend, Oregon's Max King has accomplished everything in running. He's raced for the US at the World Cross Country Championships several times, competed in the steeplechase at the Olympic trials, run an Olympic trials marathon-qualifying time, and competed for the US at the World Mountain Running championships. Sunday he'll race with the world's best, including two-time champ Kilian Jornet, at the Sierre-Zinal mountain race. Nick Clark catches up with Max on RunColo's behalf in Switzerland.

    "Absolutely stunning" and "Switzerland wins" are used in describing the setting for Sunday's Sierre-Zinal mountain race. Scott is an ultrarunner from Highlands Ranch, Colo. and Dakota too is an incredibly accomplished ultrarunner, most recently living in Silverton, Colo. The two will race Sierre-Zinal one week before the 103-mile Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc. They share their thoughts on both races here.

    Basalt's Megan Lund-Lizotte and Evergreen's Brandy Erholtz will race against the world's best mountain runners on Sunday in Switzerland. The Sierre-Zinal 31K race includes a whopping 2200 meters of climbing and 800 meters of descent, and is arguably the most competitive mountain race in the world. Lund-Lizotte was the surpise winner a year ago as Erholtz finished third.     Charles Hillig’s name has been near the top of Colorado race results for a few years, but this summer the 25-year-old Denver resident has really started to shine. He started the year with wins at the Frosty’s Frozen 5M and Snowman Stampede 5M before starting a string of racing the state’s most competitive races. He was second at the Cherry Creek Sneak in May, a late hamstring cramp dropped him to 8th at BolderBoulder, and then he ran 14:37 for 5000M on the track at sea level. He backed that up with a 4th-place finish (3rd in the money) at the Stadium Stampede 5K, third at the Freeman Myre 5K, and third at the Classic 10K in a PR time of 30:30. With no sponsor, no coach, and few training partners, Charles is chasing his Olympic trials dream his own way.
