Took the last three weeks off from running. Have been doing my calf stretches and eccentric calf raises.
Monday, went for a six mile run, achilles felt ok, a bit stiff. Then proceeded to run eight miles on Tuesday and it flared right back up. Hindsight, I should have been doing a 4-5 mile runs both day, but I was hoping it would be healed and I could put together a last ditched effort to run Des Moines.
No go, took the rest of the week off. Planning on taking another

After running the San Diego Marathon, I took 8 days off and started to resume my training. When I started running again my Achilles was a bit sore and has remained sore since and progressively gotten more sore.

On my quest to find the best burger in the Denver Metro area, I stopped into Diego Zhang's Burger Cafe at The Streets at Southglenn. Diego Zhang's has a different vibe than Larkburger or Smash Burger, but it still falls into the category of gourmet fast food. There are no fries served, instead they have a decent selection of salads and soups. The other interesting thing to note is the burgers are small, not White Castle small, but about 1/ 2 the size of a normal burger. Which is kind of nice
