There I stood, at the grocery store, thumbing through the latest copy of "Runner's World". I flip to an article called "Review: Ice Cleats", the article reviewed three products, the Yaktrax Pro, Petzl Spiky Plus, and the Stabilicers Sport, the latest products to slip on your shoe for those snowy and icy days.
I received a pair of Yaktrax Pro for Christmas, thus this article peaked my interest. Did I receive the best pair available? Is there a superior product? These are things that I question. Of course I was let down, I read the article and learned nothing. Did "Runner's Word" tell me which one was the superior product, of course not. If "Car and Driver" can rank the top sedans and place them in order, why can't Runner's World?
Has Runner's World ever castigated a product, and labeled it as complete rubbish? If so, let me know, send me an article, prove me wrong. When you are for everything, you are for nothing. Take a stand, be critical, give me an opinion, that's all I ask for.
2007 marked my return to running, to training, to racing. In Colorado and the Denver Metro area especially, there is a race every week. In fact, most weeks there are several, you can take your pick. So how do you know which race is blue ribbon and which race you should avoid? Well you don't, but that's why I started RunColo. I can't review every race in Colorado, but I'm sure we can find someone who ran it, so if you ran a race and you want to discuss it, here is your outlet. Sign up for the forum and let's discuss the races, training, places to run, and anything and everything that's great about running in Colorado.
My goal for this website is to have a solid foundation of race reviews, places to run, and product reviews. I'm going to be truthful, critical, open-minded, and entertaining. I want to create an outlet that provides feedback, assist the Race Directors, and to further enhance the Colorado Running Community.
I would like to see some training routes that are up away from the city. When I visit your state I want to run on the dirt roads, by the lakes and trails that the CU guys train at. Hit some of those courses, tell me how to get there and upload your Garmin data so when I swing into Colorado, I know where to go.
Oh, and buy the Garmin 405 and let me know if it beats the 205.

I dig that 405 too! I just happen to be in a 1 year gadget moratorium so I guess I'll see what the 505 looks like...
I've got the Garmin 405 on preorder. However, I think I am going to cancel it, and place my order with the locals Runner Roost. I'd rather give them my business.
I talked to the owner of Runners Roost last Saturday, he told me that he already has 38 Garmin's preordered for people (they are taking a list). He talked to Garmin last week and they said they are swamped with orders.
So, I'm mad that I don't have my 405, but as a Garmin shareholder, that pumps me up.
Nice site, I know virtually nothing about garmin kit (I am a polar man)
Can you post a product review of how it works in the field (I can read the manufacturers website - that won't help me)
Hey, I've loaded an avatar, but it's not showing up. What's the deal?

Truguy, or anyone else, give it a shot now. It should be working, I changed the setting.
OK - let's see my avatar...

As a loyal supporter of my local running store, I cancelled my preorder of the Garmin 405.
I'm now on the list for the Garmin 405 from Runner's Roost, so hopefully Garmin does not delay the launch any further.
In the meantime, if you want to borrow my McDonald's happy meal pedometer, just let me know.
