This is a Mini Sprint which consists of a 275yd pool swim, a 11 mile bike ride (hilly) and a 2.25 mile run around a beautiful lake. The Kid's race begins later in the morning with the 6-8yr olds swimming a 25yd swim, a 1 mile bike (5 loops around the parking lot) and a half mile run. Parents please feel to be the counter for your kid's on the bike! The 9-14yr old race starts a bit later, with a 75yd swim, a 2 mile bike and a 1 mile run.
Foothills Feat will donate it's proceeds to a Non-Profit called Colorado Uplift, who mentor Denver's Inner City Youth in the DPS school system and through Adventure Programming. Colorado Uplift empowers youth through leadership and character building. This in turn creates stronger leaders for our community, high school and college graduates that break the chains of poverty and crime in our Denver Community.
This race has great winning prizes and raffle drawings worth over $4000, thanks to sponsors like Kompetitive Edge, Boulder Running, REI and Bears Car Wash. This race will not only have great prizes, but great music and designed to be lots of fun! The facilities will be great, spacious and we will have tons of great support.
