  1. Sharin 'O' the Green 5k - Ft. Collins, Colorado 2010

by , 03-13-2010 at 07:14 PM (RunColo Blog)
I feel like I have made a lot of trips to Ft. Collins of late, the last trip up there to race a 5k was a waste of a time. However, I knew the Sharin ‘O’ the Green 5k was a well respected race, run on city streets and a race with solid competition.

Normally, I get to a race with about 10-15 minutes to spare, the life of traveling to races with the family in tow. However, today was an anomaly as I travelled to the race solo, tried to get Brandon to come with me but he wasn’t man enough. ...

  4. Simon Cheprot - Kenyan World XC

by , 02-24-2010 at 09:03 PM (RunColo Blog)

One time Aurora resident Simon Cheprot will be running this weekend trying to earn a spot on the Kenyan World XC team on the Junior men's 8k team

I think a lot of the elite runners in Colorado can breathe a sigh of relief that Simon will not be cleaning up the local race scene this summer, I'm assuming he no longer lives in Colorado. Be interesting though if he comes back for the BolderBoulder?

  5. San Diego Marathon Course Map 2010

by , 02-22-2010 at 07:05 PM (RunColo Blog)
When I signed up for the San Diego Marathon the course had not been revealed for 2010. Today they revealed the course, map is attached.

The race starts at ~300 feet elevation and ends at around zero feet elevation. I'm not so sure I would have signed up had I known it was a downhill marathon. I have mixed feelings. Although the race does have a solid hill from mile 7 to 10.5.
