It Is Time

When I graduated with my Bachelor degree, I was in the best shape of my life. I was fit, running daily, and truly enjoying it. Grad school threw a few more items into the schedule and I slowly started to run less. After graduating with my Master's, I moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I had 8 beautiful months of blizzard-like conditions and thus, running became even more sparse due to the weather.

It is time for me to get back to basics. To run for me for only me and no one but me. To enjoy running, enjoy burning lungs, achy legs, and to look forward to soreness in the morning. It is time to do what I love to do. It is time to stop with excuses, and suck it up. It is time. It is time.

I plan on taking on this week with a solid plan laid out and because I know me, prevent any opportunity for me to come up with an excuse to not run. Today I plan on buying a headlamp so running at night is safer and I can venture out of my normal loop.

This next weekend I hope to go ...

I love running, but hate running on treadmills. This is, by far, my biggest challenge ...
