Took the last three weeks off from running. Have been doing my calf stretches and eccentric calf raises. Monday, went for a six mile run, achilles felt ok, a bit stiff. Then proceeded to run eight miles on Tuesday and it flared right back up. Hindsight, I should have been doing a 4-5 mile runs both day, but I was hoping it would be healed and I could put together a last ditched effort to run Des Moines.
