Puma Trailfox II Review:

The Puma Trailfox is billed as "for the competitive trail runner and outdoor athlete looking for a fast,
light performance trail running shoe. Water repellent ripstop and breathable mesh upper. KMS 100
CMEVA midsole with IdCELL® in the heel. ArchTec torsion support, molded forefoot TPU protection
plate. Full EverGrip® outsole and forefoot grooves provide maximum grip and traction. Wt. 10.2 oz."

I have mixed feelings about this shoe, I don't hate
it but I don't love it either.  I'm not a fan at all of the
lacing syste
m, it hurts my foot, the kind of pain that makes your foot feel like it's going to fall asleep.
You can see that it's a unique system just by looking at the picture.

The shoe is built low to the ground, but overall it feels firm and stiff.  Also, the shoe is billed as a
lightweight shoe, but I have doubts on the weight.  It doesn't feel heavy, but it definitely does not feel
like a light weight performance shoe.  The top of the shoe has a sock like liner which is great for
keeping water/dirt out of your shoe but
it is not that comfortable.  The TPU protection plate does work
and gives your foot the added protection that you need when trail running from sharp objects.

For trail running, I prefer a lighter, more flexible shoe.  However, the shoe is well cushioned and the
Puma Trailfox II protects my foot well from rocks, tree stumps, etc with the TPU plate and solid heel
cushioning.

The shoe is stylish, I will give Puma credit for that.  I would not recommend this shoe, nor would I buy
it again.
