| July 4, 2007 - The FireKracker 5k was a USATF certified course that took place at City Park in Ft. Collins. The proceeds benefited CARA (City Rec. Program). The race had 878 participants. Registration was $20 for early entry and $25 for late entry. This got you a sweet baby blue, 4th of July T-shirt, which I actually thought was rather cool. The course was flat and fast. I found the race to be well organized with many quality vendors after the race. Mountain High Yoghurt was also giving out free samples and who doesn't love Mountain High Yoghurt. The 2007 race was rather warm, but expected for any race that occurs on the fourth of July. I would definitely run this race again. www.footoftherockies.com (for more information) |
